Description & Accessibility
We where there in February of 2008, nice weather & warm. The hotel itself and the area is accessible, it also included free breakfast for each morning of our stay.
I arranged for a limo meet and greet which was suppose to be a surprise for my wife but the impact was sort of lost when they did not show up when we arrived. In the course of our trip planning we had changed our arrival date and the limo company was notified of that change however they messed up and thought we where arriving the next day, so I had to call and they did spot the error but still had to wait for at least 45 minutes for the nearest limo driver to arrive.
Therefore I usually call and reconfirm now a day or two before to be sure.
Accessibility:
No (no roll on capabilities) for the limo but if you are able to transfer into the limo and have a foldable wheelchair or one that quickly comes apart and will fit either inside or in the trunk of the vehicle you still may be able to take it.
Mobility devices such as wheelchairs and scooters never do well on sandy beaches and therefore it is advisable to not go on them, however the Waikiki beach area has a paved sidewalk that goes beside the sand beach itself so you are able to go very close to the beach.
Accessibility:
Yes for the hotel and most of the area around the hotel and Waikiki beach area.
There are plenty of eating or snack places in the area if you find the dinner inside the hotel is too costly.
There is lots of area around that you can roam in a wheelchair or scooter, but do yourself a favor and consider bringing a powered wheelchair or scooter. On this trip in 2008 I had a manual push type wheelchair which made it harder for my wife to push me around so now I have a powered scooter meant for travel purposes and easily / quickly comes apart and will fit in any vehicle.
