14 Day Caribbean Cruise
St. Maarten

Description & Accessibility
We originally had a tour of the St. Maarten booked, the tour on the cruise line website even had a wheelchair symbol on it but after discussing it at the excursions desk on the ship and them consulting with the shore service I was told told they do not recommend wheelchairs due to the terrain at some sections / stops during the tour, so I cancelled the tour. My only question was that never got answered is why is there a wheelchair symbol on the tour listing if they do not recommend wheelchairs users to participate. All I was originally wanted to confirm is to be sure that the vehicle being used had under bus storage so that the travel scooter could be carried and be used whenever they stopped. I some ways I was sorry I cancelled and let me decide if I could get off at a certain stop or not based on what I could see in the terrain at that stop. I should have asked more questions in regards to which stops may have questionable accessibility and how long was the stop at that location.
There was no roll on accessible tours listed on the cruise line for this port.
The walkway to Philipsburg we never went on but I understand it was accessible perhaps next visit we will try this.
The port area shopping was accessible.
