The Artifact Exhibition
@ Luxor
Oct. 15, 2010
Cameras not allowed, but here is a promotional video found on you tube.
Description and Accessibility
This is a nice exhibit for the titanic. When you enter the exhibit you are given a titanic boarding pass, at the end of the exhibit you can look up the name on your boarding pass and find out if you survived the shrinking or not. Sorry to say I went down with the ship, but my wife survived.
It displays part of Titanic’s hull that was recovered from the bottom of the ocean. Lots of pictures, artifacts, and in one section you go thru a door onto the outside deck of titanic with the iceberg beside, it is cold with the stars in the sky, it tries to give you a feeling as if you where on the ship that faithful night.
One of the highlights is seeing the re-creation of the grand staircase, and you have the opportunity to have your picture taken by a photographer there you then have the opportunity to purchase at the end of the tour.
No video or photography allowed.
Accessibility:
YES
You can use your mobility scooter / wheelchair throughout the exhibit with no issues but you do have to open the doors that takes you in and out of Titanic’s outside deck but there is a steady stream of people touring thru the exhibit so even in the event the door proves difficult to open for you, someone will open it for you.
This exhibit is located at the Luxor hotel. The bodies exhibit is actually located right beside the titanic exhibit location. You can buy tickets to both exhibits or individually.
