Grand Tour of Sydney
Helicopter Tour
Feb. 16, 2008
Description & Accessibility
This was a nice scenic tour of Sydney by air. It certainly gives a unique view of the area that cannot be done the same from the ground.
Accessibility:
The helicopter is not roll on accessible, therefore you must be able to manage to board the helicopter with assistance.
On the above website it mentions…
This tour is available to passengers in a wheelchair. Please advise indicate level of assistance required in the Special Requirements box at time of booking. The wheelchair can be carried on the aircraft, providing it is collapsible.
Once on the helicopter there are no stops on most tours so therefore as long as someone brings your chair to the helicopter when you get off you really do not need it on the helicopter (unless there is an actual stop somewhere).
The total tour time indicated includes the hotel pickup and drop off not just the helicopter tour itself.
You should confirm accessibility concerns directly with the booking provider and tour operator. Once in Sydney I would suggest calling the helicopter company directly to again confirm your accessibility requirements.
