Description & Accessibility
We took a carnival booked tour called ‘Panoramic Salvador’ a sightseeing tour and there was only one stop at a church for some photos and it also had some shops there, only my wife got out.
At the pier you first had to go through a passenger terminal (some shops inside the passenger terminal) and then on the outside of this terminal was a long line of tour buses.
The sidewalk was a bit ruff but passable and it took a bit to locate the correct bus for the tour we where on.
No roll on accessibility but there was under floor storage on the buses for a portable / foldable mobility device. I should note that a lot of the buses in South America had 7 to 8 steps to the seat floor combines with sections that lack hand grip places. My wife helped me get up them.
I did see the wheelchair symbol in the front windows but I saw no lift, buses where filled to capacity so if there was a lift in the back for instance none was being used or offered.
After the tour we saw further down in the opposite direction to the entrance as the buses where there was some street vendors selling things cheaper then it was inside the passenger terminal.
