2014-Transfer to Hotel and back to cruise port

Between the Carnival Glory and Carnival Victory Cruises we had one night in a hotel, since I booked this trip just a few days before we left, I had difficulty finding available rooms in the hotels near the port so we booked a hotel out close to the Dolphin Mall which was way out of the downtown core.

I used a transfer service call ‘Family Car & Limo Service’ which cost us $ 160 US each way.

The pickup area had lots of people waiting for various rides and when our ride arrived he was further down and would not come back to help us move the luggage to his location, the next day he parked around the side that we did not even know he was there until we went outside and looked around the corner.

We had not booked the transfer from Miami port to downtown hotel that was later in the trip and I asked how much it would be and he said because of the amount of luggage we had it would be the same cost, but $ 160 for a 5 minute ride was just too much so we just used a taxi for that – see…

The person was polite talked in a nice way, but I just felt he did not go the extra mile to assist. I would use again only if I had too but would check out other alternatives first. Vehicle was not wheelchair accessible but a portable travel scooter should still be able to be carried if you can transfer into the vehicle.
