We took a private tour at this port booked through…
We went to a welsh tea house in the Trelew and Galman area where we got served a light lunch with some welsh tea, one bonus was that they had a choir of welsh singers that gave some entertainment while we where there and that only happens when a cruise ship is in port. Others arrived at the same place by buses from tours booked through carnival. This location was a long drive to get to, we went through scenic areas at times other times lots of garbage of the side of the road could be seen.
The tea house was the highlight, I found that at this location, it may have been better have taken the cheaper carnival tour and seen just almost as much. The tour guide did get off the highway and go through some rural areas where the buses likely stayed on the highway.
The tour guide picked us up right on the pier beside the ship, although there was two exit gangways from the ship and he was waiting at one with a sign and we got off on the other but we did finally found each other. The pier itself was quite long and some people did walk off it. There was a sidewalk and a ramp to get on it where the ship was but driving down the pier I noticed that another boat had the sidewalk blocked with a ramp from that boat, then at the end of the pier the sidewalk narrowed to the point it appeared too narrow for a scooter or wheelchair and there would have been no ramp to get down to the road except at the very end. So it appeared that you would have to use the roadway to get to the other end but the roadway was just barely wide enough to get two vehicles to pass therefore dangerous unless you wait until all the tour buses are gone and try not to be coming back when most of tour buses are returning to the ship.
Accessibility:
The private tour vehicle was not roll on accessible but most mobility devices that is foldable or easily comes apart could be carried with you as long as you could transfer in and out of the vehicle. The tea house had a very small step up into it but with some assistance I was able to get in with very little trouble.
