Las Vegas
Shopping
Description & Accessibility
What is any trip like without at least some shopping. Most hotels have some shopping areas inside them but for the serious shopper you will want to venture a bit further.
A short list of shopping areas near the strip:
a) The strip itself
b) Las Vegas Premium outlets North
c) Las Vegas Premium outlets South
d) Town Square
e) China Town Plaza area
And there is some shopping stops in the downtown Fremont street area.
I would say the biggest shopping draw will be the Las Vegas Premium outlets, these are large shopping areas, one at the north beyond Downtown Fremont street and one to the south beyond Mandalay Bay hotel. Both locations you take the express bus from the strip.
The north Premium outlets are all outdoor store entrances, where the south Premium outlets are mostly an indoor shopping area. Both locations are great shopping areas, however on a summer day when it is 113 degrees out the indoor version may be more comfortable.
If have a taste for oriental items then Chinatown plaza area may be worth a visit also accessible by bus, click on Chinatown on the menu and see the description there.
Town Square is also a mostly high end shopping area that you may want to check out it is located south of Mandalay Bay hotel, the express bus does have a stop there on the way to the Premium outlets south. If stopping at Town Square there is a large electronics store very close by that may be worth a visit.
If you do not have the time to visit them all then at least pay a visit to one of the Premium Outlet shopping areas.
All these areas are wheelchair accessible along with the buses that can take you there.
Now there is additional area that we did not get too and that is ‘fashion outlets of Las Vegas’ and that is outside of Las Vegas…
you have to book this in advance, and since we never went to this one, I would have to make some phone calls to find out if this shuttle is wheelchair accessible.
